I began my weight loss in the fall of 2008; within the first month, I had already lost 17 pounds. By January of 2009, I had already reached my goal wight and I had lost the weight in all the right places!
At first, the loss was most noticeable around my mid-section and my neck. I was so excited about the quick results that I was determined to follow it through to the end to see just how good it would work. I was consistent in making sure I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the recommended measured amounts. I thought this would not be enough food to keep me satisfied, but eventually my stomach shrunk and I didn't require as much food to feel full. The appetite suppressants really worked to cut my appetite--sometimes I had to force myself to eat, because I needed to fuel my body to keep dropping the pounds. I also drank lots of water.
After the first month, I noticed my clothes starting getting loose and with people commenting on the change they saw, I got so excited that it was hard to believe that this was really very easy. I have tried a lot of diets and eating plans, but nothing has worked for me like this one. In order to maintain my weight, I have learned to count calories and take notice of ingredients like sodium and sugar.
I had an awesome support team consisting of my husband and my girlfriends who were also my cheerleaders who encouraged me and rejoiced with me at the loss of every pound. I never missed a week visiting the doctor until my goal was met. I picked up the appetite suppressants and got my B-12 shots even on the weeks when I hadn't lost anything all because I knew that I would lose it eventually. I would tell myself that this weight didn't jump on me in a week so I couldn't expect it to jump off me in a week. I knew that I needed to remain consistent and focused on my goal because I saw myself slim and bringing sexy back☺. I was soon approaching my 50th birthday and I had a vision of myself at my party. Now don't get me wrong, I did slip and mess up, but if I did, I didn't stay messed up, I got back on track and drank lots of water.
I realized that there is nothing magical about this plan, whatever you put in your body results in what you get out; junk in--junk in the trunk out!
In reaching my goal weight, I dropped four pant sizes by January 2009, only to set another goal weight for myself. This plan works, but the key is consistency and discipline. If I did it, you can do it too!
